AKWAABA! Welcome to the Faculty of Built and Natural Environment (FBNE) of the Kumasi Technical University, Kumasi, Ghana. This Faculty is the principal institution in KsTU in the training of professionals of the built and natural environment in Ghana. The FBNE offers a collection of teaching, and research and outreach service programmes in the key disciplines of the built and natural environment, which includes Building Technology, Estate Management, Interior Design and Materials Technology and Construction Technician Courses. The Faculty draws on the special opportunities from cognate academic institutions in Ghana and abroad. FBNE also draws on the advantages of built environment professionals in the construction, real estate and wood industry through internship programmes and industrial visits. Due

to the high level of industrial involvement in the Faculty’s training, the products of the Faculty are well desirable nationally and internationally not only in relation to the built and natural environment but other spheres of life. These include the areas of Banking, Law and Civil Society activities. The Faculty is composed to reach even further heights with more innovative programmes geared towards preparing its products for the emerging challenges of the perpetually changing global process. Improved teaching, research and learning environments include the use of ICT and audiovisual facilities. The staff of the Faculty are reputable academicians who have accomplished much and accumulated wealth of professional experience in the built environment industry.
