Programme Description

The general goal of the BTech curriculum is to meet the need of Ghana for the greater number of middle level construction technologists to facilitate the country’s industrialisation programmes and the goal of self-reliance. The learning environment is of such a nature that the student is placed at the centre point of attention and an optimal learning climate is created in order to acquire the needed professional competencies.

Entry Requirements

Candidates must hold a good HND (First Class or Second-Class Upper Division) in Building Technology with one-year post qualification industrial experience. Candidates with Second Class (Lower Division) must pass a selection interview to be conducted by the Building Technology Department. Candidates with distinctions or credits in all 4 major components at CTC II Final (Old Scheme)/CTC III Final including passes in all project works and with credit in English and Mathematics at GCE O’ Level or SSS Level and must pass a selection interview to be conducted by the Building Technology Department.

Duration

For full-time students, the duration of the Programme shall be a minimum of three (3) semesters of sixteen (16) weeks per semester.
