Engr. Dr. Obed Persie Appiah-Kubi is a dedicated and meticulous professional born on January 11, 1990. He currently serves as a Lecturer in the Department of Interior Design and Materials Technology at Kumasi Technical University, Ghana. He holds a Doctor of Engineering degree in Furniture Design and Engineering from Nanjing Forestry University, China, an MPhil in Integrated Art (Metal Fabrication Technology) from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi, and a B.A. in Integrated Rural Art and Industry from the same university.
Engr. Dr. Appiah-Kubi is known for his strong desire to research and learn new things. His approach to work is proactive and lively, and he is committed to completing tasks successfully. In his professional journey, Engr. Dr. Appiah-Kubi has undertaken various roles, including voluntary demonstrator and teacher, where he has developed and instructed a wide range of courses, supervised final-year projects, and participated in curriculum development. His research interests include furniture style and art, material integration production, material conservation, design principles, and interior design.
Engr. Dr. Appiah-Kubi has also contributed to several international peer-reviewed journals and attended numerous workshops and academic conferences, where he has presented his research findings. His dedication to his field has earned him multiple awards and honors.
